A dairy owner whose brother was murdered while trying to stop a robbery is urging retailers to prioritise their safety if they attempt a citizen’s arrest.

Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith last week announced a proposed expansion of powers aimed at retail crime that would make the arrests possible at any time of day and for any crime.

Hospital ED new location of interest in measles spread

Two separate days in the last week were listed on Health NZ’s website on Friday morning as a place where someone with measles was known to have visited.
