Community steps up when someone failed to?
Sad to see someone took it upon themselves to deposit five young pups out near a car park on waingaro road to fend for themselves.
Kudos to fab locals who spotted them scavenging rubbish roadside and responded. Despite efforts last night, even in wind and rain in the dark, pups weren't successfully retrieved until this morning. Super responsive community people (plural) caring enough to make someone else's pups a priority.
Now safe from the perils of stormy weather, no food source, traffic and a likely tragic demise.
Someone is responsible for these pups. A mum dog out there who undoubtedly needs desex.
Instead of dumping pups to fend for themselves - there is a drop
box by the council pound where they can be safe and secure at the very least. People - if you don't want the responsibility of pups, desex! If you have an accidental litter, own it and take responsibility - do the right thing by pups and mum - which is not dumping roadside!
