Wet wipes, water infrastructure and getting young men “out of their basements” were all on the agenda as Hamilton’s mayoral and council contenders looked for votes at a candidates forum on Sunday.
Twenty-one candidates in total, including nine aiming for the mayoralty, assembled at the Riverlea Theatre for the East Ward candidates debate.

Grant Kilby has always loved camping. His mum was director of health at the YMCA, and he would attend YMCA camps in the school holidays. “I think it was mandatory that I was there,” he jokes.
He went on camping holidays with his parents, and later, took his own kids.
