The row of 1950s flat-roofed wooden duplexes in Pinfold Ave are gems of Kiwi historic house design needing protection, say the planning boffins.

But some of those who live in them just want a house that’s less ‘worn’ - and their state landlord agrees, saying removing their protection will help build more homes.
