Kia ora neighbours!

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With Maori Language Week upon us, we've been adding a few more words to our te reo vocabulary and using them in our everyday lives.

Whether it's saying 'mōrena!' every morning to your whānau or singing some waiata in the car, share how you are incorporating te reo Māori below to go into the draw to win one of four $25 prezzy cards - let's kōrero!

power prices

Wendy from Maeroa

last week i received an email from trustpower saying that the govt had set up an electricity price review which recommended the removal of the 15% discount for prompt payment. Then they said they have/will adjust the unit prices so we pay about the same. BUT today I have another email saying that gas prices charges for the property are going to rise by 16c/ day. Looks suspiciously like a work around to increase prices ! Has anyone else had similar info coming to them?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Kia ora Hamilton,

Road improvements are currently underway to upgrade Palmerston Street in the Hamilton CBD.

For the next two months, road rebuilds and safety improvements will be undertaken, with features designed to encourage safe driving and minimise excessive speed. Around 8800 cars pass through the street during peak times with 24 crashes reported in the past five years.
