Kids on a bike
Watch out for two small boys on a motorbike crossing Kahikatea road. I was driving around the area test driving a car and they shot across the road in front of me, going down Karen crescent crossing over Kahikatea. Then I saw them riding around Kahikatea park and when I went around the block again during my test drive they crossed over the other way again. I gave them a bit of a talking to but doubt that will prevent it happening again - if someone perhaps knows who they are and could warn the parents?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
