Town House Construction.
A lot of residents, especially those who have been in their homes a long time, are peeved off with developers buying neighbouring houses and sticking multiple prefabricated rabbit hutch town houses next to them.
Once there were laws and regulations to consider neighbours - not now.
These ugly constructions de-value people next door properties, they invade the privacy of those over the fence, they chop all the tree's down and they have nowhere for their kids to play.
Yes, we know about the housing shortage but these ugly office blocks hardly fall into the affordable housing category.
The latest good solid brick house and section to go in lieu of more hutches is in Gibson Road opposite the dairy and the neighbours are not happy, and rightly so. Is nowhere safe?

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
