Kia ora Hamilton – It’s Tama Potaka

Tama Potaka

Approaching my 170th day as your MP for Hamilton West, I have actively engaged with our community, listening to your concerns.

The rising cost of living, rampant crime, strained hospitals, and emergency housing crisis are challenges that I recognise. Together with my team, we have collaborated with community groups and held meetings with local nurses and the Hamilton Police, among others. Our hard work continues, and we will be organising public meetings throughout our electorate, addressing the pressing issues.

Join us on July 5th at 6:30pm at Western Community Centre, where Mark Mitchell will discuss crime in our community.

For any inquiries, please contact my team at Potaka.office@parliament.govt.nz or 07 834 3407. Kia kaha Hamilton West.

Poll: Do you use the district nursing service?

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

The health system has been accused of breaking the law amid sky-rocketing demand for community-based nurses in Waikato.

This comes as the supply of district nurses lags behind referral increases of more than 100%, leading to staff burn out and an “unprecedented” service failure.

Do you use the district nursing service? Tell us more in the comments (adding NFP if you don't want your words used in print).
