WORLD RELIGIONS SERIES: EarthDiverse is pleased to announce that the Term 2 course offering in this series will focus on 'Islam'. Learn about the history and development of the Islamic faith, the Life of the Prophet, its Sacred Texts, central concepts, beliefs and practices, and Muslim celebrations and commemorations, all from an anthropological/objective point of view. Term 2 classes on Islam are offered in Te Awamutu on Wednesday evenings (4 bi-weekly sessions) and Hamilton on Thursday evenings (8 weekly sessions) beginning the week of Monday 4 May 2020. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
