All senior managers leave after Grey District Council restructure
A West Coast council has lost all of its senior managers after a restructure in the wake of a review that uncovered an environment of “mistrust and division” at the organisation.
All four senior managers at the Grey District Council decided not to reapply for jobs after their roles were disestablished.
The council announced the senior management restructure to staff via Zoom during the August lockdown. The managers knew of proposed changes, but not how their roles would be affected.
Under the restructure, the infrastructure services, corporate services, environmental services and community development manager roles have been axed. Six new roles were created. Continue reading here.
