Mayor holds chief executive to account
Invercargill Mayor Sir Tim Shadbolt says he is committed to holding city council chief executive Clare Hadley accountable for any actions he considers may bring the council into disrepute.
At an emergency council meeting this week, the majority of councillors voted to support Hadley's actions so far in her negotiations with the Public Service Association union over her proposed staff pay cuts.
