Petrol Rip Off.
I see with all the crying the last week about the government petrol tax and the rip off it is today I have seen a price increase of 6 and 8 cents a litre. Let us put that into context. Oil has dropped by 6 dollars a barrel which normally equates too a 1 cent drop in petrol per dollar . In Other words it should be 6 cent drop in price. Add to that the Kiwi has improved slightly so that should have assisted the drop but no the petrol companies have put what amounts to a 12 cent increase. ( 6 cents it should have dropped and the 6 cent increase . ) What should we do , I know blame Labor for another added tax increase while the major petrol companies rub their hands with glee and think of those overseas holidays they will be getting with the added profits..

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
