Take the time to talk
“Smile, though your heart is breaking” Nat King Cole
The whole of life is about beginnings and endings, happiness and loss. When you suffer from a loss, it can be hard to believe that you will ever find happiness again. The staff at Avenal Park Funeral Home can support you through this time. We encourage you talk - to have meaningful conversations with your loved ones.
As well as supporting families when their loved one passes, we can also assist with prearrangements and prepayment plans. Prepayments are managed through the FDANZ Funeral Trust. It is not an insurance policy, the money you pay is yours – held in trust for when it is required.
We also offer a monumental and headstone service, covering everything from memorial plaques to headstones.
If you would like to talk to someone about funeral/monumental options or would even like a tour of our premises, please contact Nigel, Donna, Chris or Mel at Avenal Park Funeral Home - 03 218 9021.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
