Alabone kennels is pleased to announce the arrival on 26 October 2022 of 3 male (1 sold) and 2 female (1 sold) blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies.
Both parents are health checked clear for eye, heart and patella luxation, DNA tested and clear of curly coat, dry eye and episodic falling syndrome.

The puppies are stunning, healthy and active. They have been vet checked at 2 weeks and passed with flying colours. They will have their first vaccination at 8 weeks, receive their first flea treatment and will be microchipped. They are wormed fortnightly .
All puppies will be registered with Dogs NZ and come with pedigree papers.
Puppies will come with a puppy starter pack including Royal Canin food which they are being weaned on. Also free pet insurance for 42 days through Pet-N-Sur
The puppies are well socalised and will be ready for their forever homes after 20 December 2022 just in time for Christmas holidays.
I have had some queries around pick up dates as it is around the holiday season which doesn't suit everyone. However this can be negotiated.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
