Greytown Cook for Ukraine Bake Sale
The organisers of the Cook for Ukraine Stall in Greytown would sincerely like to thank all those who supported us last Saturday. We were amazed by the generosity of our community, who either supplied baked goods or bought from us on the day. A total of $3650 was raised and has been donated to UNICEF's Ukraine Fund (www.unicef.org.nz...).
We would especially like to acknowledge the very generous support of the following businesses:
Ant North Catering, Greytown
Baloo’s on Broadway Restaurant, Carterton
Bicycle Kitchen Greytown
Cahoots Cafe, Greytown
Coffee Supreme, Wellington
Fresh Choice, Greytown
Main Street Deli, Greytown
Mrs Blackwell's Village Bookshop, Greytown

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
