My 2021 Prospa Local Business Hero nomination
Almos book shop in Carterton is THE go to place for books whether it’s for browsing or buying. Steve is most helpful and always full of invaluable information. This past weekend I had two teenage family members (a male and female) from the South Island staying. A visit to Almos, the coolest of book shops, was essential in their eyes. They browsed and chose a treat each but still found it challenging to depart from Almo’s such is their enjoyment of its space and its contents. Al is also supports many community offerings such as the monthly Waiword gathering of writers and readers and the monthly book review programme Book Lovers Corner on Arrow FM. Almos is certainly deserving of a nomination as a local business hero.
