Neighbourly's Good News
I was in Countdown and had put my groceries which came to $23.00 through the self checkout, when I realised that Id left my money purse at home.
I asked the shop assistant if I could come back tomorrow with the money and collect the groceries but that wasnt possible. While I was wondering what to do a young lady who I have never seen before said "I'll pay for your groceries'.
I was overwhelmed with her kind offer. She proceeded to take out her card and pay for them while I stood there amazed.
I managed to get her bank account number and reimbursed her online that evening, but her kindness is something I wont forget in a hurry.
May she be blessed abundantly for her thoughtfulness and generosity. What an amazing thing to do for a total stranger.
Lest we forget...
