SPCA warns pet owners to take care

Neighbourly.co.nz

Two dangerous leg-hold traps have been found in a public recreation area at the end of Kuratawhiti St in Greytown.

The traps were seized, and while there were no additional traps seen, it could not be ruled out that there were no more traps due to it being a large area.

Anyone who has any information, discovers one of these traps, or finds an animal who has been caught in one, should contact SPCA immediately.

Warren from Masterton District

Has anybody got a concrete or water filled hand roller that they don't need anymore. I'm putting down a new lawn and need it to compact the dirt down.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
