Wairarapa’s creative festival, Kokomai, returns 10-19 Oct with an exciting line-up, bringing world class, inspiring creative arts and entertainment to our community Music, theatre, dance, visual arts, film and literature – there is something for everyone
with performances across the Wairarapa, from rural halls, churches and larger venues such as the Carterton Events Centre. You'll be able to buy your tickets from from early September - we will keep you up to date. As a sneak peak American blues singer Greg Copeland will be a special act. WATCH OUT FOR MORE INFO SOON

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
