Restrictions are still in place in the Wairarapa over the summer season. We have successfully reduced the number of pests invading our plants, but we still need your help to eradicate this completely.

So please, no pea planting, no pea seeds and no pea straw. This pest has the potential to destroy pea crops, so restrictions are for both commercial and residential growers. With your help, we can eradicate pea weevil completely.

If you see peas growing, get in touch: 0800 80 99 66, or biosecurity.govt.nz/peaweevil
