From catching sprats on the farm as a young boy to representing New Zealand on the world stage, it’s always been his passion. These days, as a Bruce McLaren Village resident, Neil finds nothing more enjoyable than casting a line, surrounded by scenic vistas and the melodies of native birds, before releasing his catch back into the water.

An experienced fishing guide, Neil shares his love of fly fishing with his new mate and village neighbour, David. While they met in the village, the pair are often mistaken for lifelong friends. Like Neil, David has always been an active person.

This little climber is growing well in its pot.
It has heart shaped soft leaves, and blue/purple thumb sized flowers which flower prolifically through the Summer. It is not invasive and throws seeds.
I have had plants that have come up for about three years, but it generally is an annual.
It likes something to climb up and around. I have grown it in pots too, with other plants.
This plants has been well watered and growing in a shaded position.
It would need to be kept watered and protected while it is young.

The plant for sale is the one in the terracotta coloured pot without any flowers. It will be keen to get flowering.
Thanks for looking.

The festive season is always a great excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, and this time of year poses the perfect opportunity to bring a real showstopper to the Christmas table.

For Suellen’s family, that showstopper is Croquembouche, an impressive tower of cream puffs bound together with spun sugar that is popular at weddings in France and Italy.

What began as a birthday treat at a local French café has become a cherished Christmas tradition for Suellen and her 17-year-old twin granddaughters, Ellie and Sadie. Every year, the trio gather in Suellen’s apartment at William Sanders Village to cook this festive dessert - a holiday highlight they all treasure.
