The Boil Water Notice in Featherston will stay in place until further notice, which means after the network has been flushed and water testing and Regional Pubic Health confirm it can be lifted. The team is meeting this morning and we'll provide another update later today, as soon as we can.
There is NO Boil Water Notice in Greytown but residents there need to conserve water as the towns share a treatment plant.

Water dispenser with tap.
White ceramic with lid. No chips or scratches or cracks.
The tap needs a some plumbers tape wrapped around it as it leaks slightly. I know its a simple job but beyond me.
Have to pass it on to someone who can do these sort of things.
Thanks for looking.
Price: $30

Downsizing and I don't need this chair now.
Wooden, with cabriole front legs.
The seat can easily be covered with any fabric you like to match your colour scheme. The seat lifts off neatly and with a square of new fabric placed over it with the edges tucking underneath tidily.

Babies, young children, the elderly and people who have compromised immune systems are more at risk of illness. If you get diarrhoea, vomiting and/or a fever contact Healthline (0800 611 116) or your doctor.
How to boil water for drinking:
Boiling will kill all disease-causing organisms.
• Bring water to a rolling boil (where bubbles appear in the centre and do not disappear when the water is stirred) for one minute
• Cool water (do not use ice cubes to do this) and pour into clean container with a lid
• Refrigerate until needed
This boil water notice is in effect from 10am Friday 19 June until further notice.

We began gradually restoring water to Featherston just after 4.30pm. For the next few hours while the network gets re-charged, it is expected that flows may not be constant. There may be air bubbles or slight discolouration, so we recommend you run your tap for a short time to let any air escape. We will be flushing the network in the morning to ensure adequate chlorination of the water supply.
The Boil Water Notice is still in effect until further notice, so please continue to boil water when supply resumes.
Water tankers and bottled water remain available onsite until 7pm, as per the below map, and will be available in the morning also.
Thank you for your patience while we worked to get water restored.
⚠MAJOR OUTAGE – FEATHERSTON UPDATE 3PM⚠
The Waiohine treatment plant reservoir is recovering well, and we are on track to start restoring water supply to Featherston at around 4pm – though this may take a little time to complete. When the water returns, there may be air bubbles as the pressure come back through the network, or slight discolouration.
We recommend you run your tap for a short time to let any air escape.
Make sure you have your taps closed ahead of the water coming back on to avoid any water damage in your home.
It is important to note that the Boil Water Notice remains in place until further notice. We need to flush the network fully once the reservoir is fully recovered to ensure adequate chlorination of the water supply - this will occur overnight, and we plan to start flushing work tomorrow once this is achieved. So please continue to boil water prior to use to ensure your safety.
Contractors will be onsite to undertake repair works of the damaged pipe at Boars Bush Gully Road. We will provide further updates on these works in due course.
Some properties will continue without water until the repair works are complete. We will be working directly with these impacted residents to provide and alternative supply.
⚠MAJOR OUTAGE – FEATHERSTON UPDATE 1PM⚠
Tankers are available at the Fox Street Skatepark and ANZAC Hall on Bell and Birdwood Streets. Bottled water is available to collect from the library, and we have plumbed in supply at the medical centre and community centre.
We ask residents to avoid flushing their toilets where necessary. Residents of Greytown are also encouraged to conserve water to minimise demand on the water treatment plant, which will speed up the water reservoir recovery.
Work is underway to restore water supply to the town, we expect to have supply restored this evening.
⚠MAJOR OUTAGE – FEATHERSTON UPDATE 10.55AM⚠
Featherston is without water after a supply pipe was washed away early this morning.
In consultation with Regional Public Health, a Boil Water Notice has been issued, and supply tankers have been set up in the town, including at the medical centre. Schools are closed.
Restoring water is currently estimated to take the rest of the day, after which we’ll need to flush, test and ensure the system is safe and secure. The Boil Water Notice will remain in place until further notice.
Residents of Greytown are requested to conserve water to minimise demand on the water treatment plant (Greytown is not impacted by the outage or the Boil Water Notice).
Further updates to follow.
⚠MAJOR OUTAGE - FEATHERSTON UPDATE 7.26AM⚠
Water is available for residents at 50 Fox Street beside the skate park.
There will also be a tanker driving around Brandon, Wakefield, Bell and Wallace Streets.
Our team is currently onsite to investigate the extent of the outage, and will provide an estimated time to repair shortly.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
⚠WATER OUTAGE - FEATHERSTON⚠
There have been reports of a major water outage in Featherston this morning. Our teams are currently investigating.
At this stage we don't have an estimated time of the outage, however we will provide an update when we have further information.

larger facility to operate from.
The Guild has relocated from Carterton Men’s Shed into the MTLT-owned former trout hatchery building adjacent to Millennium Reserve.
Guild president Nick Crozier said the building was ideal for the organisation, which has a growing membership.
“It’s fantastic to have a dedicated space where we can have our machines permanently laid out, rather than having to set up and then pack up our equipment each session. The central location will provide easier access to our club nights and workshops, and the building is well equipped for running our courses.”
