And they're off: historic Forbury Park racing items to be auctioned
A mobile gate, a track groomer and an old dance floor are some mementoes from Dunedin's defunct Forbury Park set to go under the hammer.
The 110-year-old track held its farewell meeting on July 8, and now some 400 racing related items would be auctioned at the Forbury Park Chattels Auction on Friday, September 3.
“We are selling a bit of everything,” Forbury Park board member Lex Williams said.
That included the old dance floor, two branded beer pourers, and other Forbury Park branded items.
