Dunedin students head home after stuck in hut overnight due to heavy rain
A group of school students trapped after a deluge of rain made a creek too high to cross is returning to Dunedin.
The 25 Otago Boys' High School students stayed an extra night in the school's lodge in the Mt Aspiring National Park after heavy rain on Thursday.
A school spokeswoman said the boys had left the lodge on Friday afternoon and were on a bus heading back to Dunedin.
