Ngāi Tahu Property and ACC break ground on state-of-the-art building
A joint venture between Ngāi Tahu Property and ACC will transform a car park on a historic Dunedin street into a state-of-the-art building.
The Dowling St site was officially blessed with a karakia and sod turning on Tuesday morning.
The building is a 50:50 joint venture between Ngāi Tahu Property and the ACC investment yeam, and will feature 8000 square metres of office space.
As part of the deal, the Dunedin City Council sold the car park – which had been previously linked to other potential developments – to Ngāi Tahu Property for $3 million.
The new building is expected to be completed by early 2024.
