Port boss gets six-figure salary increase

Nicole Reporter from Dunedin News

Hi neighbours, do you think a $100,000 pay rise is fair for Port Otago's boss? That equates to about a 16% rise.

A combined unions spokesman says it's a "kick in the guts" for port workers fighting for better pay and conditions.

The pay increase for the port's chief executive was confirmed in its 2019 annual report, which showed his annual salary is now between $610,000 and $620,000.
