Valid: 31 hours from 4:00pm Saturday to 11:00pm Sunday.
Forecast: Periods of heavy rain. Rainfall accumulations may approach Warning criteria.
Area: Dunedin.
Valid: 37 hours from 10:00am Saturday to 11:00pm Sunday.
Forecast: Snow is expected above 300 to 400 metres, with periods of heavy rain below the snow level. Rainfall accumulations may approach Warning criteria. Keep up to date here

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
