It was made from a pair of jeans from an op shop. "All of my gardening clothes come from op shops," she says. "Large men's shirts make good cover-ups to keep sun and insects off my arms. For the apron, start with a smaller size than you would wear so it doesn't wrap around too far. Check that it has a lot of pockets." So tell us if you've got similarly fashionable, exclusive-for-the-garden glad rags, and if yes, why not post a photo in the Reply space too!

A large amount of stolen property was recovered by Dunedin Police today, following the execution of a search warrant at a Brockville address.

The recovered property is believed to have been stolen in residential burglaries that have taken place in Dunedin over the last few months.

Police also located a firearm, a small amount of drugs, and drug utensils at the address.

Two men, aged 28 and 40, have been charged with burglary and firearms offences, and will appear in Dunedin District Court on Wednesday 27 June.

Constable Kylie Batten says Police are really pleased to have recovered so much stolen property.

“Over the next few weeks we hope to be able to return some of the property to the victims of some of these burglaries,” Constable Batten said.

“Having your home entered and having your property stolen is a huge invasion and can be extremely upsetting for victims.”

“To be able to return property to people, especially when that property has a great deal of meaning to its owner, is really satisfying.”

Police will now undertake enquiries to establish where each item recovered has come from. This process is expected to take several weeks.

The forecast snow has sparked MetService to issue a severe weather watch for Fiordland, and inland parts of Southland, Queenstown Clutha and Otago.

Please be careful when driving as there have been reports of black ice and slips which have caused hazardous conditions.

- Snowfalls had closed the Lewis Pass (SH7), Crown Range road and the Milford Road (SH94) from Hollyford Rd junction to Milford. The alternative route to the Crown Range via Kawarau Gorge was open but there could be black ice.

- Snow was also falling in Arthur's Pass (SH73). Falls were also expected around the summits for Haast Pass (SH6), Lindis Pass (SH8).

- The Queenstown Lakes District Council says there is black ice "across the network", especially Malagans Road, Glenorchy Road, Fernhill Road, around Arthur's Point and Kelvin Heights.

Remember to:
- Keep an eye out for your neighbours, especially the elderly, to ensure everyone is warm and looked after. Post to your Neighbourly community if you can lend a hand.
- If you notice any slips or hazards that you need to warn the community about - then don't hesitate to post an Urgent Alert. Your post will be sent out as either a text or email to others living around you.
