Simon Bridges confident National can breach Labour's southern stronghold
Simon Bridges was in the heart of Dunedin' student quarter for the annual Otago University Students' Association Clubs and Societies Day on Thursday, where he was followed by about a dozen placard-waving protesters for Extinction Rebellion.
He told Stuff he found the students positive, open, and eager to learn what National could do for them. "I think, dare I say it, there's a possibility of having two local National members in Parliament."
