GARDNER, Harold Barry (Barry)

It is with much sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Barry, our loved father and grandfather (Granddad Barry) on November 2, 2022, at the age of 71 on the farm he loved in the Graham Valley. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Julie (Greymouth), and Kim (USA), as well as his grandchildren, Malcolm, Ellie, Georgina, and Lucas. Sadly we didn’t get to see you before you left us.

Suddenly at her home on 3rd November 2022, aged 76 years. Much loved Mum of Debbie (dec), Michael and Jason, loved mum-in-law of Rosemary and Rebecca, adored grandmother of Jeremy, Oliver, Kate and Sarah. Our Princess was called home on Saturday 12 November 2022, in Lower Hutt. Beautiful daughter of Penetekoso and Bronnie. Loved sister to Elijah, Ezra, Tatiyanah and Orlando. Our Princess will lay at home- 7 Russell Road, Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt. A celebration of our Princess’ life for Family will be held at St Mark’s Church, 58 Woburn Road, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday 16 November at 6.00pm. Our final celebration for all will be held in the same church on Thursday 17 November at 10.00am, followed by interment at Makara Cemetery.

Surrounded by his loving family at Telford Life Care on Sunday 13 November 2022, aged 83. Soulmate and loving husband of Sandra for 55 years. Cherished Dad and father-in-law of Suzanne Weston & Vanessa Mayer, Carolyn & Brent Matuku, and Ali & Jarrod Felton. Adored Jojo of Archie and Zachary; Liam, Ethan and Shawn; Jordan (dec), Bree and Ayden. Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital on Thursday, November 10, 2022, with family by his side. Dearly loved husband of the late Yvonne. BENNETT, Hilton Petrie

Loving partner to Robin Britton, passed away peacefully in Hamilton on Saturday 12 November 2022, surrounded by loving friends and family. Born on 25 July 1955 in Hamilton, Hilton went to Hamilton Boys High and attended Waikato University before moving to the UK with Robin in 1980. Hilton worked in the energy sector before becoming a business consultant to numerous companies large and small. An accomplished chess player of international standing, Hilton has played in tournaments all over the world and New Zealand. His contribution to chess locally in Hamilton, nationally in New Zealand and many places around the world is a legacy that hundreds if not thousands of chess players will fondly remember Hilton by. A simple funeral service will be held on Thursday, 17 November at 11am at Woodside Estate, 130 – 132 Woodside Road, Hamilton. No flowers please. The service will be livestreamed. Loved father of Phil and Fran, Craig and Jeanette, and Ali. Proud and faithful grandfather of Charlotte and Jared, Victoria, Jack and Hannah, Tom and Rosie, Sam, Luke, Seth, and Mia.
