Eric was the ex-CFO of the Waipara Brigade and the ex-DCFO of the Amberley Brigade and a Life Member of both brigades. A service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at the Rangiora RSA, 82 Victoria Street, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10.00am. Full undress uniform to be worn, no caps.

Died peacefully at Charles Upham Retirement Village Special Care Unit on November 12, 2022. Adored wife of the late Jim Wakefield. Much loved mother, stepmother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother and great-grandmother across two families. Respected business partner and colleague under her former name, Dr Susan Lojkine. At her request, a private cremation has been held. A celebration of her life will take place in February next year, date and location to be advised. Susan had a lifelong love of books, words and language, and the families would welcome donations to Literacy Christchurch or Duffy Books in Homes in lieu of flowers.
