Peacefully at Dunedin Hospital surrounded by his family on November 19, 2022, in his 82nd year. Much loved husband and best friend of Gwenda. Dearly loved father, father-in-law and stepfather of Sandy and Tony McLaren, Allison and Jennie, Richard and Liz, Dean and Debbie Harrison, Keith and Rachael Harrison, and Tomas. Cherished grandad of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Ron* and Sally Pepperell, Keith* and Bev Mosely, Bruce and Gloria Henderson, David* and Lyn Low, Trevor and Lynley Illingworth. Loved Uncle of his nieces and nephews. A private cremation has been held at Ernie’s request. A gathering to celebrate and share memories of Ernie’s life will be held at the Alexandra District Club on Monday, December 5, 2022, starting at 2.00pm.
