Rules for dogs on beaches this summer
We're coming close to the annual times that dogs are banned on beaches, so if your pooch likes to jump and dig and sunbathe then you'd better go soon.
Dogs are not allowed on most Whangarei District beaches from 9:00am until 5:00pm between 20 December and 31 January - so there are two weekends to go before the temporary rule-change this year.
Our webpage has some suggestions for other great places to take dogs this summer, and two options for year-round dog-friendly beaches in Bream Bay.
