New craft shop opened in Rangiora
Just have to share about Handzon Craft shop opening here in Durham St. How exciting to have a well stocked craft shop move here from Christchurch! they stock knitting yarns, patchwork fabric, dress fabric, embroidery supplies and more. there's something about being able to feel and see those gorgeous raw materials. They also have classes so I'll be in to one of those soon. We are so spoiled to have 3 independent handcraft shops here, as well as the franchises. SHOP LOCAL!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
