A look at cases of theft of the Coromandel Peninsula’s new prepaid bin tags will form part of a review of the controversial new kerbside collection system.

Mayor Len Salt says a review will be conducted on the system soon but said while the system was a work in progress it has significant benefits over the old system.

The Department of Conservation has confirmed the date for two community drop-in sessions on the future of Cathedral Cove.

DOC had previously unveiled three options that could see visitors returning to Cathedral Cove - but also admitted continued land movement has made it “challenging” to identify “a simple walking solution at a level of risk acceptable”.
