Howdy neighbours. Nelson and Tasman children are invited to get creative with an art competition that will give thanks to our essential workers. Children from year one to eight are invited to take part. The artwork will be sent to service providers and each Saturday, eight prize-winning pieces will be displayed in the Nelson Mail. Most Kiwis are entitled to five days of sick leave a year, but some - often those in lower paid jobs - get less.
New Zealand’s minimum sick leave allowance is one of the lowest in the OECD. In Australia they get 10 days, in most European countries it’s even more.
