Green guardian kids workshops with Artist Robbi Carvalho
Ages 6+
Tuesday 21 January and Tuesday 28 January
10am - 12pm, Franklin Arts Centre, Weta room
$5 entry fee
Robbi Carvalho will give kids a presentation on climate change and endangered animals. The children will then be invited to create their own mythological beings dedicated to saving the planet. This workshop will not only teach painting techniques but also nurture creativity and deepen understanding of environmental themes.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itโs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
