Heading along to the Night Noodle Markets this weekend? Help the planet while you're at it – Christchurch is trialling compostable packaging for the food and drink available at the Night Noodle Markets this year – which means a lot less waste for the landfill.
If it's brown - it will break down.
Look for the ECO symbol and put it in the green bin.
All other packaging goes into the red bin.
The ECO symbol means "Event Compostable Only" – make sure you bin it at the event, and not at home.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
