New Police Non Emergency Number

Dave from Shirley

I had call to use the non emergency police contact number over the weekend.  What a farce after spending the best part of 45 minutes on hold, I finally got through to someone, they couldn't help so I was then passed on to someone else and had another 20 minutes wait before being dealt with unsuccessfully.  Given another number which was the wrong contact, was then phoned back by the previous officer just to be given the number for Search and Rescue in Wellington, not what I wanted.  So a lot of time wasted.  I was then asked to do a survey on what I thought of the service.  I tried to select Option 3, which was the selection for poor service.  The survey wouldn't accept this and kept asking me to try again so I did with the same result.  What a sham of a service.  I think the Police need to do better if they expect people to use this service.

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.
