My Nice Neighbour nomination
I'm not sure of their names yet as I haven't been here for long, but I went to Sydney then a cruise for 2 weeks. When I returned, 1 was outside mowing the curb and.the elderly gentleman came over for a chat and how he had seen me with luggage outside and getting into a taxi. Because he assumed I was going on holiday and my home would be empty, he came over and kept an eye on it by letting people that walked by, see that someone was there. He took the mail out for me and generally watched over it until I returned. ' I find that terribly kind. I am a widow and already feel nervous about living alone.. I have lived here for nearly a year.
