Missing cat
We are missing a 1 year old young Siamese male cat. In the area of Cowper Place and vicinity of #'s 16 through to 34 Cowes Street and Binstead Place Avondale Christchurch. He is a bit skittish at present so any sightings would be very helpful. He may have traveled further depending on how scared he is. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
