Bus Route 135
ECAN have rescinded their decision to cancel the 135 bus route. Instead they have extended the route which will now include The Palms Shirley, Marshlands Road, Prestons Road, Travis Road, QE11, Bower Ave, Beach Road, Effingham Street, Marine Parade, Oram Ave. Service will be hourly Monday - Saturday . However there will be NO SERVICE on SUNDAYS.
This means that there will be NO public transport to places such as North Beach Surf Club and foreshore , North New Brighton Community Hall or Thomson Playground and Skate Park on SUNDAYS.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
