Join us this Weekend!
All Christchurch neighbours are invited to join us for the SCAPE Season Opening! The artwork has been created using Resene colours and will fly in the sky! FREE entry for everyone all weekend long.
Saturday kicks off with family-friendly art activities, giveaways, a barbecue and performance from the NZ Secondary Students’ Choir AND a SCAPE Public Art Walkway guided or self guided tours. Sunday features public talks in the Botanic Gardens Ilex Function Room. We'll see you and the kids there!

10am-2pm Saturday 7 October, Hellers Family Event, Margaret Mahy Playground
11am-4pm Sunday 8 October, Botanic Gardens - Ilex Function Room

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
