Whether you're hitting the street to trick or treat, or staying inside with the the candy bowl by your side - here's some Neighbourly Halloween tips to ensure that this Tuesday is a fun and safe experience for you and your neighbours!

1. Set up a Halloween Group for your street! Plan your Halloween evening with your neighbours to see what time everyone is taking the kids out. You could even co-ordinate matching costumes!

2. Download one of our SPOOKY Neighbourly Halloween posters to stick on your house or letterbox for if:
- You welcome all trick or treaters
- You want trick or treaters to stay away

3. Stay in areas of your neighbourhood that are familiar and are well lit. And although Halloween is supposed to be spooky, be careful not to frighten your elderly neighbours by popping out of the dark!

Stay safe and have fun!

When should the law treat two people as a couple? What property should they share if they break up and what property should only belong to one of them?

New Zealand has changed a lot in the last forty years, including how relationships and families are formed, how they function and what happens when relationships end.

The Law Commission is reviewing the 40-year-old Property (Relationships) Act 1976, which sets the rules for how to divide a couple’s property at the end of a relationship, and they want to hear your views.

The Law Commission has developed a paper, Dividing Relationship Property: Time for Change? - Te mātaatoha rawa tokorau – Kua eke te wā? This paper asks New Zealanders how the law could be better. You can view the Issues Paper and summary document, and access online consultation platform, from 16 October on this website.

A series of public meetings is being held around the country. Members of the Law Commission will be available to answer your questions and hear your feedback on the Issues Paper.

Some of the questions the Commission is asking are:
Does the law apply to the right relationships?
Is the right property being shared?
What should happen when trusts are used to hold property?
What should happen if one person is financially worse-off after their relationship ends?
Is tikanga Māori recognised?
How should the law meet the interests of children?
How can the law be inexpensive, simple and speedy while still being just?
Should the same law that applies when a couple separates also apply when one partner dies?

My Dad's funeral was on Thursday, thanksyou RSA for the kind service, and thankyou to those who attended.
Dad was very supportive of me doing The Charity for Christchurch Shop, he very much enjoyed the people who came, I will miss him dearly especially his input, humour and just listening to him talking to his cats, especially Tiddles the cat, thanksyou dad for your kindness, support and generosity.
With regret Charity for Christchurch will no longer be at Charles Upham ave, perhaps there is a garage out there that we could use, please contact me if you know of one.
Maybe another person or group would like to start a shop up too,
With Gods Grace thanksyou everybody for your support to those less fortunate God Bless you all Matt.
