Published date: 7 Nov 2018
Petition request
That the House of Representatives pass legislation to ban the sale of fireworks to the public for private use.

Petition reason
Fireworks create mayhem and destruction, causing fires, injuries, and damage. They scare animals, and cause grief to homeowners. People set off fireworks at all times of the year - not just at Guy Fawkes - and all hours of the night, 7 days a week.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Roller

Warren from Masterton District

Has anybody got a concrete or water filled hand roller that they don't need anymore. I'm putting down a new lawn and need it to compact the dirt down.
