Waipā’s council wants another year to make decisions on housing density, saying there are “a lot of unknowns” after the government change.
Councils around the country had been preparing for the previous government’s plans to allow three homes of up to three storeys on most sections without extra permissions. That’s now set to become optional.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
