Masonic Hotels gets $300k boost from government
Hi neighbours,
The Cambridge Masonic Hotel has been awarded a $300,000 works grant in the latest Heritage EQUIP funding round.
Built in 1912 to an Edwardian Classicism design by Auckland architect John Currie the Masonic on Duke Street has provided hospitality to many locals and visitors to Cambridge.
The grant is for the seismic strengthening itself, including securing the parapets and chimneys and improving the floor and roof connections to the masonry walls.
So what do you think of this funding boost?
