A massive weekend for the kids!
Armistice in Cambridge is a military-themed two day event with loads of things for the kids (of all ages) to do including archery, rowing a Navy cutter, fighting a mock battle in the World War One trench and attempting an Army obstacle course.
Mark Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November on your calendar. Head to the Mighty River Domain, Lake Karapiro, Cambridge. If the kids complete 7 of the activities they win corporal stripes or a Navy badge. Click here for more details or find us on Facebook.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
