Cats

Dick from Blenheim

Although they there is any evidence to indicate that cats can be affected by the virus there is evidence that they can carry it on their fur. Still see cats wandering around my neighbourhood and leaving their droppings behind. Not really a good look under the present circumstances.

Commuter bus services resume

The Team from Marlborough District Council

Council’s bus service will return to normal today, including the Renwick to Blenheim, and the Blenheim commuter services.

The commuter services were put on hold during Alert Levels 3 and 4, with only off-peak services running during that time.

Travel on Council’s bus services will continue to be free of charge until the end of June to protect the health and safety of drivers by limiting passenger interaction and removing the need to handle cash. You can find out more about the bus service, including timetables for all routes on the Council’s website.

What is volunteering?

Hannah Cunningham from Volunteer Marlborough

Volunteering is defined by Volunteer Marlborough and the rest of our network of volunteer centres as "Time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain." When you consider that definition, a lot of people immediately think of 'formal' volunteering like helping in an op shop or a rest home. However, there are many other types of volunteering; helping at church or on the marae, coaching and managing kids sports teams, or mowing your elderly neighbor's lawn are all examples of volunteering!
Volunteering is really just about helping others, and we strongly believe ALL volunteering should be celebrated!

You can get full info on all available roles (and apply online) at marl.volunteermatch.org.nz...

Alternatively, send us a message, call/txt 021478330, or email vm@volunteermarlborough.org.nz
