Two days of speedway vacation action

Heavy Trax Hire Central Motor Speedway

When: Saturday, December 29th and Tuesday, January 1st.
Where: Sandflat Rd, Cromwell (Cnr SH6).
Both days: Gates 4pm, Racing 6pm

Guest driver (photo): Just turned 17, Michael ‘Buddy’ Kofoid, USA’s most talked about sprintcar star.

December 29th:
- Round 4 of the $100,000 2018/19 Hydraulink Sprintcar War of the Wings (Wow) comes to ‘Central Otago’s Fastest Family Show on Earth’. These 'winged demons of speedway' never fail to get spectator hearts thumping and adrenalin rushing
- Christmas Champs for super saloons, saloons, six shooters, youth ministocks, productions.
- Southern Saloon Series Day 1 for these low and wide Beasts of Speedway.

January 1st:
- New Year’s Day Champs featuring sprintcars, super saloons, saloons, youth ministocks, productions, six shooters.
- Southern Saloon Series Final.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
